The Fashion cycle is the amount of time it takes a Fashion trend to emerge peak and fall out of style.
It is the period of time or life span during which the Fashion exists, moving through five stages:
* Interdiction
* Rise
*Peak
*Decline
*Obsolescence
Fashion moves through different stages during its cycle of existence.
The cycle represents level of acceptance.

- The new styles attracts the concentration of many people and also the attention of buyers, dealers, wholesalers and retailers by the press, media and the public.

- Now fashion is at its height of popularity and the style is widely worn in society.

Stage-5/ Rejection or obsolescence
- Though prices are low but people don't want to buy them.
- The style is considered to be passe i.e, outdated and is therefore rejected.
- In the last phase of the fashion cycle people are no longer interested, some consumer have already turned to new looks .
